The Art Department at Long Beach City College is one of the largest art departments in the California Community College system, and as such, is dedicated to providing students with the finest, most comprehensive introduction to the arts possible. Toward that end, we have brought together a strong corps of professional artists and educators, dedicated to developing a comprehensive foundation for students to explore their innate creativity.

Failing Nature, the first exhibition of the year opens August 26th in the LBCC Art Gallery. This is the inaugural show of our recently re-opened facility.

PCC Students, this fall we are offering Art 10, Art Appreciation on Monday evenings. This is a great opportunity to fulfill your GE requirements and find out more about art without the pressure of an inter-campus commute. We've also made things easier for working students by expanding our weekend and evening class offerings.
Graphic Design students, We are providing an opportunity to study at night. Art 44AD Graphic Design Tools & Techniques, and Art 55AD Introduction to Graphic Design are scheduled Tuesday and Thursday evenings this Fall.
